Apply for a Hotelier Educational Grant

Visit Rancho Cordova offers a funding opportunity for hoteliers staffed by hotels within the TBID of Rancho Cordova, CA in the amount of $500.00 per hotel, per fiscal year, to support brand, management, staff, and specialty training.

These grants do NOT roll over if unused by the hotel. Funds refresh at the start of each new Fiscal Year (July 1).

Hoteliers, please don't forget to use this FREE MONEY! It is set aside just for you!

Visit California Visibility Opportunities

Visit California is now allowing hotels and hospitality businesses to access their industry site, which offers many free tools to help you boost your visibility and amplify your marketing efforts. We strongly encourage you to take the steps below, as you will have the best and most accurate information about your properties, events, and deals.

Step 1: PRIORITY ACTION - Create a partner account on the Visit CA Industry Site

Step 2: PRIORITY ACTION - Create a new Business Listing

  • This is a NEW feature with great potential for views. These hospitality-related business listings will appear regionally for consumers when they use the Visit CA AI trip planner tool. Hotels are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to make a listing so they show up in the planner tool when it is launched.
  • Be as thorough as you can. This is like a google profile but more robust. Fill out every part of the listing.
  • Have any incentives, coupon codes, special deals? Add that to your description too.
  • The content team at Visit CA may lightly edit your listing before publishing, but it’s not guaranteed – so proofread and use a grammar checker.

Step 3: PRIORITY ACTION - Sign up for the Visit CA Industry Newsletter to get monthly pitch theme requests

  • Learn more about pitch theme requests in Step 4

Step 4: ONGOING ACTION – Submit 3 different types of content for Web & Event Calendar feature consideration.

  • Not every submission will be accepted, but it’s always worth a shot. Make it a priority to submit content when it's most relevant during the year. Submit 1-2 months in advance for Consumer and What’s New, follow newsletter deadlines for Pitches & Leads.
  • CONSUMER CONTENT (aka Leisure Traveler focused, impactful public events)
  • PR / PITCHES & LEADS (must match a themed pitch from the Visit CA monthly newsletter – DEADLINE BASED)
  • PR / WHAT’S NEW (aka renovation announcements, major anniversaries, new add-ons to your hotel, etc.)

Step 5: OCCASIONAL ACTION Dig into Visit CA’s latest research on travel trends

  • Great info on traveler sentiment, California stats, and more.
