From June 1 to August 31, travelers and residents are invited to participate in Visit Rancho Cordova’s “Summer of Shenanigans” Bucket List Photo Challenge.

The “Summer of Shenanigans” bucket list includes dozens of Rancho Cordova activities, events, attractions, craft breweries, and delicious restaurants for participants to try out at their own pace.

From leisurely “color walks” around our parks and attending local events to tasting boba drinks around the city and renting paddleboards on Lake Natoma, there is a wealth of activity ideas for every type of adventurer.

1. Join the Challenge & Save to Your Phone

It’s easy and FREE! Use the sign up widget to join with your name and email. Save the page that pops up as a “shortcut” on your phone or save a bookmark page on your desktop computer.

2. Choose Adventures That Sound Fun & Submit Photos of Your Experience

Explore Rancho Cordova’s attractions and support small businesses at your own pace. Pick your favorites or try something new! Check-in to as many as you want by submitting photos and collect cool digital “badges” for crossing items off the list.

3. Earn Points & Giveaways by Trying As Many Activities As You Want

Get rewarded for having fun with your family! Each time you “check in” to an activity with geolocation and a photo, you’ll earn points to be entered into Rancho Cordova experience and prize raffles! Winners will be chosen at the end of the summer.

Helpful Challenge Tips

Save the Challenge to Your Phone

To access the challenge, use the join widget above or click here to open the Sign Up page in a new tab. Once you are signed up, click the 3 dots in the bottom right hand corner of your screen, then click "Share," then click "Add to Home Screen." You will see a blue RC icon that you can save to your phone. Keep the name of the shortcut as "Visit Rancho Cordova" or change it to something you will remember.

How to "Check-In" to a Challenge

Most check-ins require geolocation and photo submission proof to earn points for giveaways, while other check-ins only require a photo or a simple text response. Make sure you enable location services so you can check-in if prompted.

Challenge Run Dates

The Summer of Shenanigans Bucket List Photo Challenge will run from June 1 to August 31, 2026.

Email Address Collection

By joining the Summer of Shenanigans Bucket List Photo Challenge you agree that we may contact you via email with updates, track earned points from check-ins, confirm raffle entries, and contact you if you win a giveaway prize. Emails will never be sold to other parties and all information will be kept private. If you would like to unsubscribe from Visit Rancho Cordova mailings you are free to do so. However, we'd recommend sticking around all summer to make sure you don't miss an important Summer of Shenanigans update.

Giveaways & Raffles

The Summer of Shenanigans Bucket List Photo Challenge will end on August 31, 2026. Raffle and giveaway winners will be drawn in September and contacted via the email address the participant signed up with. Participants will have 3 business days to claim their prize or we will move on to the runner up. In most cases, items will be mailed to you (we will require you to provide your mailing address). Some may require in-person pickup at the Visit Rancho Cordova office (we will help you schedule a future date for pickup).

Photo Submissions

Photos submitted to the challenge may be used in future Visit Rancho Cordova promotions and marketing materials to help other travelers discover fun things to do in the area. Thank you so much for helping us show Rancho Cordova in the best light!
