We understand that Rancho Cordova's nickname, "The Cho," stirs up mixed feelings! This old nickname has been reclaimed by residents showing community pride after it was initially created as rude slang many years ago in efforts to make Rancho Cordovans feel bad about where they lived.
While some residents who were around when the term was first coined have mixed views, younger and new residents have begun to use the term in a more positive way to signify that they are proud to represent their hometown. Visitors and travelers to the region have overwhelmingly positive reactions to the nickname and have asked us where they can get a shirt featuring "The Cho!" In efforts to bolster these positive feelings, we created the merch people asked for and paid attention to what happened next.
The results? Whenever we drop a Cho design in our merch store, they become our best sellers. At live events, our Cho stickers are the first ones to run out of stock. The Cho is compelling, competitive, and captivating.
