Marc Sapoznik serves as the President and CEO of Visit Rancho Cordova. He has worked in the tourism and sports industry for over 20 years, closely partnering with a variety of companies and nonprofits to increase their earned media exposure, leverage paid media, optimize web content, and, in recent years, produce effective social media campaigns. In addition to operating his own marketing and public relations agency, past management roles have included positions at Resort at Squaw Creek, California Travel and Tourism Commission (Visit California), and North Lake Tahoe Resort Association. Marc has helped rebrand Rancho Cordova's destination to secure over 28% regional revenue growth in three years, deliver 70 events per year, and maintain a 70% average occupancy rate during the Covid-19 pandemic. He currently serves on the board of directors for the US Travel Association, California Travel Association (CalTravel), California Capital Airshow, Gold Country Visitors Association, and Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce.
Dawn Hall is the Vice President of Operations for Visit Rancho Cordova. With more than 30 years of bookkeeping and operations experience, Dawn started her career as an accounting liaison for the Southland Corporation, where she was responsible for producing financials for over 50 “7-11” stores throughout the San Joaquin Valley. Prior to joining Visit Rancho Cordova, Hall worked as an office manager for various companies and then as the operations director for the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce for over 14 years. Dawn provided bookkeeping services to Visit Rancho Cordova for over 6 years before becoming a full-time member of the team. She currently serves as the treasurer and program administrator for Leadership Rancho Cordova, a role she's occupied for over 10 years, and sits on the board for the Cordova Recreation & Parks Foundation. In her free time, Dawn enjoys music, crocheting, camping and spending time with friends and family. Dawn's heart is most content when she's helping others.
Leena Riggs is Visit Rancho Cordova’s Director of Marketing & Partnerships. She holds a BA degree in history from California State University: Sacramento and an MS in Hospitality & Tourism Management from the University of Central Florida. Leena has been with Visit Rancho Cordova since 2017 and has worked in hospitality, tourism, and entertainment for over a decade with previous employers, including the Sacramento Kings, Universal Orlando Resort, and Walt Disney World Resort. California Travel Association awarded her a "30 Under 30" award in 2019. She currently serves on the Sacramento Children’s Museum Board of Directors, as the VP of Marketing & Communications for Meeting Professionals International: Sacramento/Sierra Nevada Chapter, as co-chair of the Emerging Professionals Advisory Council for Meeting Professionals International, Global, and as a committee member for the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce Government Relations Committee. In her free time, Leena enjoys gardening, spending time with her dog, blogging about horror movies, and traveling.
Maggie Thyken Huss is Visit Rancho Cordova’s Director of Sales. She’s excited to use her Rancho Cordova pride and sales skills to help broadcast all that is great about Rancho Cordova. With a degree in TV & Radio from San Francisco State University and over 12 years of experience in hospitality, Maggie started her career in hotels as a front desk host for the Hyatt House Richmond West in Virginia before moving home to California to work at the Hyatt House Sacramento/Rancho Cordova as an F&B manager and house host lead. Maggie's sales acumen at the front desk was recognized and she was soon promoted to sales coordinator. Her sales career snowballed transitioning to sales manager and director of sales at Hyatt Place Sacramento/Rancho Cordova with a short term as area director of sales adding Hampton Inn Sacramento/Rancho Cordova. As Visit Rancho Cordova's first Director of Sales, she has been awarded the Smart Women in Meetings Rising Star award and has been nominated as a PCMA Northern California Chapter BAMIE Supplier of the Year. Maggie currently serves on the MPI Sacramento/Sierra Nevada Chapter board as Director of PR and Communications as well as the CalSAE Capital Regional Council as Vice Chair. In her free time, Maggie enjoys family camping trips to Bodega Bay, gardening, and regular visits to anywhere with great local libations.
Aubrey Hall is Visit Rancho Cordova’s Marketing Coordinator. She is excited to utilize her affinity for Rancho Cordova and her skillsets in multi-media artwork to incorporate new and creative ways of approaching marketing for Rancho Cordova and its blooming community. Aubrey has a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies: Social & Behavioral Sciences, lengthy experience in multi-media arts and psychology from Folsom Lake College and Texas A&M International University, and an 18+ year sports background as a competitive athlete both on the West Coast and in Texas. After working for over 10 years in Rancho Cordova as a frequent volunteer or intern with the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce, Cordova Community Council, and Visit Rancho Cordova, she began working for the team full-time in 2022. In her free time, Aubrey enjoys exploring many hobbies like painting & crafting, spending time with family and friends, or indulging in the newest Marvel film or show.
Lisa Leonti-Nottingham is Visit Rancho Cordova's Sales Coordinator. Before joining the team, she worked as the farmers market manager for the Midtown Association, an organization promoting the growth and preservation of Sacramento’s Midtown. While there, Lisa spearheaded a project that expanded the scope of the Midtown Farmers Market, bringing the total number of vendors from 60 to nearly 200 and establishing the weekly event as a cultural hub for the community. Before working for the Midtown Association, Lisa spent nearly 15 years working for Visit Sacramento. Her duties ranged from convention sales and sports development to events management. In her free time, Lisa runs her own photography business and is an avid hiker and trail runner.
Kristen Achziger is Visit Rancho Cordova's Content Manager. She is excited to champion the amazing small businesses and community of Rancho Cordova to enthusiastic California travelers. Achziger graduated magna cum laude from Vanguard University with her Bachelors degree in Communication & Media Studies in 2014 and has worked in the marketing industry since 2012. She cut her teeth in the world of film as a scriptwriter and promo cinematographer for organizations, businesses, and brands and pivoted into sales and website copywriting in 2017, working with a wide range of industries and clients across the globe. She has spent the last seven years as a business owner, providing consultation and writing services as well as teaching her ethical marketing content techniques to hundreds of students. Kristen currently serves on the board for the California Capital Arts Foundation's International Documentary Film Festival. In her free time, she loves to kayak, explore new restaurants around the city, and experiment with interior design.
