Marques Davison:

Marques is a Bay Area Native and has been resident of Sacramento for over the past decade. Marques specializes in Audio Visual support with ten years as a Live Sound Technician and over five years' experience as an event director within the community and while attending CSUS- Sacramento and SCC. His extensive background in music, theater, business and student government has further enabled him to be a highly valued member of the Hammer Real Estate Group team. He is also an active member in the Sacramento/Sierra Nevada Chapter of Meeting Professionals International.  Davison received his Certificate for Diversity Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace in the Spring of 2021 from Sothern Florida University.

Lynn Carpenter:

Lynn Carpenter, Vice President of Marketing, Visit California

Lynn Carpenter is vice president of Marketing for Visit California. Lynn oversees all of Visit California’s marketing, including advertising, cooperative promotions, travel trade, web and interactive, and publications.

Lynn steers a marketing budget that has grown from $6 million in 2006 to $131 million today. Under her leadership, Visit California has marketed the state as a place of abundance and opportunity. Lynn has added international offices in China, Mexico, and South Korea – among others – to Visit California’s portfolio, spreading the state’s brand around the globe in an effort to grow California’s share of tourism revenues.

Lynn has more than 20 years of professional marketing experience and extensive knowledge of online technology promotions and brand development. She began her career in the technology industry, serving as Vice President of Marketing at Netscape Communications and AOL Time Warner. She crossed the threshold into the travel industry as Executive Director of Marketing and Sales for Mammoth Mountain Resort.

She is a resident of Loomis, where she lives with her husband and two children. They enjoy spending their time in the outdoors.

Marc Sapoznik:

A graduate of the Leadership Rancho Cordova program, Marc Sapoznik serves as the President and CEO of Rancho Cordova Travel & Tourism (RCTT). He has worked in the tourism and sports industry for over 20 years. In addition to operating his own marketing and public relations agency, past management roles have included positions at Resort at Squaw Creek, California Travel and Tourism Commission (Visit California), and North Lake Tahoe Resort Association. He currently serves on the board of directors for the US Travel Association, California Travel Association (CalTravel), California Capital Airshow, Gold Country Visitors Association and Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce.

He holds a B.A. in English (Creative Writing Program) from California State University, Northridge and is a published writer of both fiction and nonfiction. He also has earned a Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) from Destinations International. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing and spending time with family.

Leena Riggs:

Leena Riggs is a hospitality and tourism professional! Past employers include the Sacramento Kings, Universal Orlando Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. She currently works as the Marketing Manager for Visit Rancho Cordova. She was recognized as a 30 Under 30 Young Leader in 2019 by California Travel Association. Leena currently serves as Recruitment Chair for MPI Sacramento/ Sierra Nevada chapter and as volunteer chair for Young Professionals Action Council with MPI Global for 2021. Leena has two dogs, a flower garden and obsession with coffee Leena earned her B.A. in History from Sacramento State and an M.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management from UCF Rosen College in 2014.

Maggie Thyken-Huss:

Maggie Thyken Huss is the new Director of Sales at Visit Rancho Cordova and is a seasoned hospitality professional with 12+ years of experience in hotel sales and marketing. She has been fortunate to work with some of the most prestigious brands in the industry including Hyatt, Marriott, and Hilton. She sat on the Visit Rancho Cordova Board of Directors from 2018-2019 and chaired the Marketing Committee through the organization’s rebranding.
Maggie is an Auburn native, working her first job at Beach Hut Deli in Granite Bay. She graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in TV & Radio, and is currently earning her Professional in Destination Management certification. She is volunteering on the Capital Regional Council for CalSAE and is the incoming MPI Sacramento/Sierra Nevada Chapter Director of PR and Communications and is a 2022 Smart Women in Meetings Rising Star award-winner. She is building relationships and showcasing the best that Rancho Cordova has to offer to drive future engagement and new business.

On the weekend, you may find her outside with her husband, daughter and rescued husky—sometimes enjoying a beverage on a Barrel District partner’s patio.

Meghan Toland:

Meghan Toland (she/her/hers) is a museum professional with more than 10 years experience. She has worked in small museums in almost every capacity - program staff, fundraising, volunteer and event coordination, and leadership. She has a bachelor’s degree in History from Gonzaga University and a master’s degree in Public History from California State University, Sacramento. Meghan is currently the Deputy Director for the Sacramento Children’s Museum (SCM ) in Rancho Cordova, CA. SCM is the only children’s museum in the Sacramento area and Meghan is dedicated to providing a safe, comfortable, and engaging learning environment for all children in the region. In her work at the Sacramento Children’s Museum, Meghan hopes to be sparking a passion for life-long learning in children and families and inspiring the next generation of museum goers. She is a passionate advocate for museums, an active member of the California Association of Museums, a mentor to other nonprofit professionals through the Sacramento Region Community Foundation, and the chair of the Free Museum Day Committee for Sacramento Area Museums. When not working or visiting another museum, Meghan can be found enjoying time with her family, reading, traveling, or just enjoying the outdoors with her husband and her dogs.

Brian Dulgar:

Born and raised in Sparks, Nevada. Came to Sacramento to attend Sacramento State in 1985 to study Business, compete on Sac State’s nationally ranked water ski team, and started working at the Aquatic Center as a summer camp counselor Graduated with a Marketing Degree in 1990. Helped develop programs as a program manager until 1998 at which time became the Director. Married my best friend Cindi who is the Associate Director in 1992. We have two beautiful daughters who are college graduates with masters degrees. It has been an honor to work with so many university administrators, federal and state government officials, community leaders, and staff to help build what is one of the finest Aquatic Center’s in the country. It truly has been an incredible cooperative effort with many parties, including Rancho Cordova Travel and Tourism and Folsom Chamber of Commerce. Greatly appreciate the partnerships.

Currently with the Sacramento International Airport as the Economic Development Specialist in Air Service Development and Marketing for 10 years. Prior I was with American Airlines for over 20 years with the last position as Sales and Marketing Manager. I have been very active in the Sacramento Region and served on several not-for-profit boards including The Metro Chamber, Visit Sacramento, The Urban League, The Sacramento Ballet, Make-A-Wish Foundation, People Reaching Out and The Hope Foundation.
