For over 30 years, The Fabulous Thunderbirds have defined the quintessential American sound, blending a diverse range of musical styles into a unique hybrid. Co-founder Kim Wilson, the band’s sole original member, continues to lead the group.
The T-birds burst onto the scene with their self-titled debut album in 1979, which became a cult classic primarily influenced by blues. Over the years, their music has evolved to incorporate elements of Cajun, rock ‘n roll, and soul, reaching commercial success with their album Tuff Enuff. This album produced several top 40 hits, including the title track, “Wrap It Up,” and “Look At That.”
