The battle for the title of World’s Strongest Man (WSM) begins Tuesday, May 24 at the Capitol Mall in downtown Sacramento, Calif., and culminates on Sunday, May 29 when a champion will be crowned. In partnership with Visit Sacramento, the 45th edition of the World’s Strongest Man competition is free and open to the public, featuring a new Fan Festival area with food trucks, giveaways, as well as a general admission viewing area to catch all the action live.
Thirty of the world’s top strongmen, including 2021 WSM reigning champion Tom Stoltman (GBR) and four-time World’s Strongest Man champion Brian Shaw (USA) will be pushed to their physical and mental limits with an epic series of events, including the first-ever Deadlift Ladder consisting of a series of incrementally heavier bars ranging between 650 and 750 pounds and a massive Bus Pull, where athletes will pull a brand new Sacramento Regional Transit Bus weighing approximately 40,000 pounds in a race against time.
Qualifying days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (May 24-May 26) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. PT and Finals will take place Saturday and Sunday (May 28-29) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. PT..
