Venezuelan pianist Gabriela Martinez is renowned for her lyrical playing, compelling interpretations, and elegant stage presence. Critics have praised her performances as “magical… a remarkable pianist, with a cool determination, a tone full of glowing color and a seemingly effortless technique” (Mark Swed, LA Times) and “compelling…versatile, daring and insightful” (New York Times).
Ms. Martinez made her orchestral debut at the age of six and has since performed with over 100 orchestras, including:

She has received numerous accolades, including First Prize at the Anton G. Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Dresden and a semifinalist position with the Jury Discretionary Award at the 12th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.
Ms. Martinez pursued her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at The Juilliard School as a full scholarship student under Yoheved Kaplinsky. She was a member of Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect and conducted her doctoral studies with Marco Antonio de Almeida in Halle, Germany. Her career is marked by a dedication to musical excellence and a deep connection with her audiences.
